PRINTS
Q. What's the difference between an original comic strip and a print of a comic strip?
Originals are the one-of-a-kind drawing of a strip that Mr. Enzweiler draws by hand using black ink, a dip pen, and special art paper. Currently, we do not sell any original art. Prints, on the other hand, are quality reproductions of an original comic strip that is printed from an electronic file.
Q. What kinds of prints can I buy?
A. Our store has specific prints for sale. However, if you have a specific cartoon you like and want it autographed by Mr. Enzweiler, just email us and we'll be happy to send it to you. Just tell us the date it appeared with a brief description of what's going on (just to make sure we send you the correct print).
Q. Can I get Stephen Enzweiler to personalize a print for me?
A. You bet! When you place your order, please enter your desired personalization in the "Comments" box which appears at checkout. If you want a print of a strip that is not shown in our store, just email us to request it, and be sure to tell us the date of the strip desired and to whom you want Stephen Enzweiler to personalize it.
Q. What size do prints come in?
A. The Sunday strips are are printed on 11" x 17" acid-free paper. Mr. Enzweiler's signature and any personalization you request goes underneath.
Daily comics (3 or 4 panel black and white) are printed on 8.5" x 14" paper . Mr. Enzweiler's signature and any personalization you request goes underneath.
Older, single panel, color cartoons are printed on 8.5" X 11" paper.
Q. I ordered a print and I haven't got it yet! What is the ordinary time from when I place my order til delivery?
A. We try to get your order to you in 5-7 business days (US and Canadian residents). But times being what they are, we ask that you allow us 10-12 business days before you shuld be concerned. Our policy is to process an order the next day and get it in the mail as quickly as possible. Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances (Mr. enzweiler is out of town and can't sign prints) and we apologize for this in advance. Also, there are postal delays.
PERMISSIONS
Q. Can I use DOWN SOUTH characters or images on my personal web site?
A. This is obviously a serious question; so here's a serious answer...Yes and No. DOWN SOUTH is copyrighted under the laws of the United States and may not be reprinted or used in any forum without obtaining written permission. However, because we want you to spread Down South as far and as wide as your little pea-pickin' heart desires, all you have to do is email us and let us know that you want to put it on your personal website. The only thing we ask is that you link the image used on your website to the Down South comic strip website. Each image requires a permission. That's all you have to do to keep us and the copyright office happy.
