Mavis
Mavis is the young, pretty, waitress at The Blue Armadillo Cafe. She is tired of small-town Kudzuville and longs to leave it for the big old world that's out there just waiting. In her heart, she lives in the hope that prince charming will one day find her and whisk her away from the dreary life she is living, with its boring people and its boring buildings and its boring prospects.
She is a southern girl at heart with a romantic bend, simple tastes, and a dreamy, far-away look in her eyes. She wants to get married someday and have ten children, but there are no eligible men in Kudzuville to suit her, except for Bubba Snopes, whom she really doesn't take seriously. She also loves flower dresses, braids, and ribbons in her ample chetnut hair.
